11 Months

Our boys are now 11 months and the last few weeks have been quite exciting. They are growing and learning to do so much right now, keeping up with them becomes more of a job every day.

They have been super fast crawlers for awhile but now they think they are hot stuff because both of them can stand up without holding onto anything and even bend down and pick things up while keeping their balance.

Peyton has taken as many as three steps before falling but it isn't really walking yet but close. The most we have caught Liam doing is one step but we know both of them will be running before we know it so we are in no hurry.

One of the down sides to all this mobility without much grace, is lots of bumps and bruises. No matter how baby proofed stuff is or how closely we watch them they are managing to take spills. Peyton has his first black eye from banging into the lever on the side of our recliner and Liam has an egg on his forehead from opening up one of his dresser drawers and then falling into it.

Liam even managed to get out of his crib the other day so we are have now lowered the mattresses to the lowest setting, this setting is supposed to be good until after age two so I am not sure what I am going to do if he figures out a way to get out now.

Both the boys love to sing. Every morning they serenade me on the way to the babysitters. In general Peyton chats more with made up baby babbling and Liam pretty much sticks to Mama, Dada, and a few grunts. They both make clicking sounds with their mouth, at our last Drs. appt they were clicking back and forth and the Dr. was teasing that they are speaking some primitive language.

Peyton maybe be heavier and taller but Liam is WAY ahead in the teething department. Our little guy now has eight teeth while Peyton just got his 3rd, our Pediatrician called Liam Jaws.

We are having a lot of fun, their little personalities are coming out more than ever. They both are adorable and definitely both have mischievous streaks ;)

Peyton also at the party

Uh-oh Mommy didn't shut the gate tight enough and the prisoners are breaking loose

After his jail break Peyton headed straight for the magazines, he is a great shredder.

Breakfast at IHOP was too much for Liam, all the excitement of pancakes wore him out.
