Christmas 2011

We had a great Christmas this year. I was off from the 22nd of December through the New Year so I had a great time playing with the boys. Jeff took half days the week between Xmas and New Year so he got extra Daddy time in too.

As mentioned in early posts my sister Alicia, aka Seester, aka Auntie Leesha spent the holidays with us which was so much fun. Auntie and Grandma Cily stayed the night with us on Christmas eve so we could all wake up together and have fun with the boys Christmas morning.

Some of my favorite memories from this Christmas Season:

Liam constantly singing "Jingle Bells", he loves that song and hums it too himself. He even sings "Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells" (while dancing back and forth) then says "ohwhatfun" like it is one word. I will try and upload video because it is so cute.

Both the boys can say San-ta and recognize him but they are not big fans as you get up close (check out the post with our Santa pic for proof). However, they both are obsessed with Snowmen. For awhile Jeff thought they were pointed at stuff and saying "Newman" which confused him but then they finally showed him what a Newman was and he realized it was "Snowman."

Their preschool has a set of 3 giant (probably 12 feet tall) snowman in their entry court. The boys love saying hi to them every morning. Well one morning we got their before the snowman were plugged in and inflated. Poor Peyton saw the blobs of white on the ground where the snowmen should be and FREAKED. He doesn't know the word for dead or else I think he would've been screaming it at the top of his lungs, instead he yelled "Noooooooo Snowman" he was in tears with his arms raised like the world was ending. My Mommy brain had to think quickly amid the panic so I looked at him and said "shhhhhhhh snowmen sleeping." Luckily Liam backed me up, he put his finger to his mouth and said "shhhhhh." Peyton bought it, tragedy averted and by pick up time the snowmen were up and back to normal. So every morning after that (it was 50/50 on whether the snowmen were up or sleeping) the boys would run over to "shhh" if the snowmen were sleeping or say "hi"if they were awake.

Wow Santa really did come!

We must have been very good this year because our stockings were too heavy for their hooks so Santa put them on the dining table.

The boys made lots of Holiday artwork at school

We decorated both sides of our cabinets with their masterpieces

When the boys woke up Christmas morning they wanted a story from Auntie even before their stockings and presents

Christmas Jammies and Stockings

Chocolate for breakfast??? Only on Christmas (well and Easter too probably)

Uncle Adam got the boys Gator and Michigan shirts but didn't label them, he wanted the boys to choose. I am not surprised L ended up with Mommy's party school ;)

Peyton went for the Go Blue, he and Daddy can be math guys

Peyton loved his new rain boots and made us squeeze them on over his feety pajamas

To get through the pile of presents the boys teamed up

They were very happy about their Elmo slippers

After they got tired of opening presents they loved getting into this gift bag

What a cute Liam present

P & L wore Auntie out

By dinner time the boys were all cleaned up in their Christmas sweaters and Peyton played lots of music for our guests with his tambourine

Even with all the new Christmas toys Liam still loved the cart he got for his birthday best
