18 Months

A full year and a half...WOW!

What fabulous and crazy little guys P & L have become. The past month has been jam packed with activity. Liam is officially a "climber." Seriously Spiderman has nothing on our little dude. He can get out of the pack and play, the crib, scale the 7 foot bookshelf, climb his toy organizer and take all framed pictures off the walls and has taken down every curtain in the house.

Mr. Liam hit a very significant milestone we could have done without...the first 911 call. One of our favorite babysitters called 911 because Liam decided to go in his room and LOCK the door behind him. All the sitter could hear was lots of chaos, thankfully she got in with a butter knife before the fire trucks actually had to be sent :)

He did the same thing to Mommy but with a twist, when I opened the door to piles of clothes, diapers, and toys all dumped in the middle of the room he grabbed a book and sat down real quick trying to act like he had just been sitting there reading the whole time and had no idea what happened.

So Jeff and I were down but not out, we strapped a few more things to the wall, moved the toy organizer to a different spot so he couldn't use it as a launch pad, caged the TV in and got a second 24 foot fence that runs the width of the Great Room...so far so good but we know it will only be a matter of time ;)

Peyton's new discoveries have been a bit calmer, he is obsessed with shoes, his and everyone else's. No one is allowed to be barefoot in the house, he will find shoes for you and try his best to get them on your feet. On the weekends if we bring the boys into our bedroom to play. We can be lying in bed and Peyton will go the closet find Mommy shoes and Daddy shoes, find our feet under the covers and try to get the shoes on.
He also knows the word shoe very well, if you put just one shoe on him, it drives him crazy, he will point to the barefoot and yell SHOOEE SHOOEE.

Peyton also loves to play policeman or parole officer to Liam, the minute Liam is about to do something wrong Peyton yells NOOOO Lee Lee NOOOO. It drives Liam absolutely nuts.

Both boys say yum yum when they are eating something they really like and both have become very polite with their thank yous. It is funny to watch them eat because they often trade food...Peyton will eat all the spaghetti, Liam will eat all the meatballs and they say thank you back and forth when they trade.

They both love to be read to and are currently making us read Hand Hand Fingers Thumb about 100 times a day with The Foot Book holding steady in second place.

Peyton loves to pretend drive and says beep beep all the time. Both of the boys say Me Me Me and we are trying to change that to please but haven't had much luck just yet.

They are loving the long hot days so they can play in the yard, they always want to be outside.

Now we know how he was getting out of the pen. We had to take this picture from very far away annd zoom in so the quality is terrible but the mystery is solved ;)
Peyton loves hanging out in Mommy's outside chair
Happy Liam wants to take the pictures himself

Peyton turned his golf set into a polo set, he thinks he is an aristocrat

Liam thinks doors are for Suckers

Mo being an incredibly good sport, just before this picture the boys had been raking him with their toy gardening tools
